Charles Beyer was a German printmaker, painter/draughtsman. He is know for etchings/engravings of landscapes, animal studies, portraits, genre scenes and military depictions, Charles Beyer studied art at the Academy of Dresden, under Schubert and Lindner. Specializing in etching and engraving Beyer moved to Paris around 1820. It is thought that he lived and worked in France for the remainder of his life.
