Fishermen’s wives on the beach, two in the centre sitting on a ruined boat towards whom a man on the left looking, another woman sitting in the right foreground, baskets on the ground, the fourth woman in the right middle distance approaching towards the group while carrying her child, a cross in the village on top of a hill in the right background.
Charles Sillem Lidderdale was a British artist whose work often focused on portraits of young women in outdoor setting.
