The Annunciation; the Virgin kneels in an interior to the right, to the left St Gabriel, a lily in the foreground; through the window in the background enters the Holy spirit in form of the dove, followed by the Child.
Wenzel von Olmutz, (German) was a late medieval engraver and goldsmith from Moravia, whose creative period the last two decades of the 15th Century included. His engraving The Gypsy family is considered one of the oldest representations of Gypsies in Bohemia and Moravia.A total of nearly 100 engravings have survived, most of them as copies of other documents apply (as of originals Martin Schongauer and the House Book Master.) In contrast, its gold work and ornament designs regarded as own creations.
