Peter Graham RA was a Scottish landscape painter. Peter Graham studied portrait painting at the Trustees’ Academy Edinburgh under Robert Scott Lauder until 1859. Afterwards, he lived in his hometown for several years and turned to landscape painting at this time. In 1866 he finally moved to London , where he carried out many assignments for Queen Victoria . Since 1877 contender, he became in 1881 full member of the Royal Academy of Arts . Graham preferred the romantic sceneries of the Scottish Highlands, often with Viehstaffage, as well as views of rocky coasts in cloudy, foggy weather.
