Alfred Dawson was a nineteenth century British etcher and painter of landscapes and topographical views. He was the son of Henry Dawson (1811-1878) and younger brother of Henry Thomas Dawson. He studied under his father who was a marine and landscape painter. Alfred exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1860 until 1889. Dawson also exhibited at Suffolk Street and the British Institute as well as at various other venues throughout the British Isles.
